2 Timothy 2:20-26
This morning we are back in the Book of 2nd Timothy. We will be finishing off the 2nd Chapter.
Paul is going to be sharing with Timothy, and us, what is required to be an honorable and useful vessel for the Master. In other words, if we want to be a vessel used by our Lord to do His work here on this earth, there are certain things we must do to qualify for this honor.
In order to be a useful vessel for the Lord we need to cleanse ourselves from what is dishonorable, flee from youthful passions, pursue righteousness, stay away from foolish controversies, be kind, and to treat our opponents with gentleness.
I know it sounds like a tall order, but this is what we are called to do to be productive, honorable Christians that are useful to the Master. It requires intentional living and preparedness.
