2 Timothy 4:1-5

This morning we will open the service with some baptisms, I love when we do that. It is also Father's day, so please make sure you express your gratitude to all the Father's out there.

This morning we are going to be starting the 4th Chapter in the Book of 2nd Timothy. We are getting close to closing out Paul's final letter. In our text tomorrow morning we are going to read how Paul is giving his last exhortations to Timothy. He is going to charge Timothy to go out there and preach the Word no matter if it is convenient and safe or inconvenient and dangerous.

Paul is going to remind Timothy that the people will long to have their ears tickled instead of listening to sound, healthy doctrine. The people will be led away to follow those that teach what they want to hear and not what the Word says. I think we can see plenty of that in our world today. People that just want to feel good after church instead of being challenged to change.
